Plaque on the ground, in front of Colombus statue in the Center of La Paz, Bolivia. The 12th of October is the date of the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the Latin American continent. To commemorate this event, the "Hispanic Day" is celebrated in Spain and most countries of Latin America.
In La Paz there are several monuments that have been paid with Spanish money to commemorate this date, and to make it look as if the colonisation was a positive process.

As a response, this plaque was place the night before the 12th of October.

"The Crown of Spain recognise the invasion, extermination and despoilment committed during the colonisation process, and ask to be forgiven for the harm made to the Bolivian people.

La Paz, 12 of October 2013."
